Manicure monday | BeautySW

This morning i was feeling a bit crazy and girly, so decided to paint my nails all pastels, I have seen different people painting their nails oddly so thought I'd join in with the oddness' and the pastel craze going on. The colours I used are (from thumb and all Barry M polishes)- Peach Melba, Mint Green, Berry Ice cream, Pink Flamingo, Blue Moon. I have been loving the pastels out the past few months too and though I'd cheer up my boring outfit with my jazzy nails.
ps, pleas excuse my focus of my camera...

Ring finger glitters

OPI- On collins Ave
Barry M- Blue

Recently i have been loving wearing a nice polish on all my finger nails but on my ring finger wearing a glitter polish over the other polish, i think it looks beautiful! Most of the time i have been pairing any nail polish with Barry M Limited edition- silver glitter over the top though i tried Barry M- Blue moon and .......L.A. colors-treasure island over the top and that looked really pretty. I don't have that many glitter polishes because i just think they are a nightmare to take off but i think i will be looking around for some more pretty ones to wear like this, any recommendations?

Summer nail polish

from left to right- barry M- peach melba, Natural collection-Antique coral , Barry M-Coral

No.7-Tangy, Barry M-Pink Flamingo, OPI-You're a pisa work

now i know the first two arnt the summery-est colours but i thought they fitted in well and i will be wearing them in summer. No.7-Foxglove , Barry M-Bright purple , Barry M-Berry

No.7-Milan , OPI-Blushingham Palace, No.7-Rose Truffle

Andrea Fulerton- Jessica Barry M-Spring green, Barry M-Mint green

Barry M- blue moon, No.7-Poolside Blue , Barry M- Limited edition, silver glitter

Barry M- Block orange
so as you can see the majority of my polishes are Barry m and No.7, when Boots do the £5.00 vouchers i normally buy nail polish with them thats why i have a few No.7 ones and I sort of collect Barry M ones. The last color -Barry M, block orange is the most resent that I have bought, thats why it's not on the color wheel but i love it. I study at Hull college and you can buy Barry M polish for £2.00 so thats really cheap so if your college does beauty therapy check see if they sell Barry m in the reception its much cheaper!
In Summer I love wearing light pastle color nail polish, I think it just looks nice and bright on tanned skin!

Pretty pink 'n' pink Nails

I did this picture just to show how to do the reinforcements because i didnt know how to explain it in writing but my nails have on them here- OPI, flower-to-flower and over it Barry M, limited addition silver glitter.

Hello everyone, so i saw this nail art on Lauren Conrad's Blog so thought I'd try it out for myself and see how it looked. I deiced it looked great but because the polish was so thick towards the end it took sosoo long to dry, infect i don't think it dried completely through for about the full day. I think if the look was done with better quality nail polish and a good quick drying top coat it would be great, especially for summer!

So on to how to do:
First, protect your nails with a base coat, I used-Sally Hansen, Double Duty base& top coat.
Then you need to paint your whole nail a bright or dark pink (doesn't have to be pink but thats what I used, great color for summer) and I used the color-OPI, You're a Pisa work.
Now you need to stick two reinforcements together (like shown in picture) and stick them a third way down your nail. Paint the part of the nail that is showing above your reinforcements  a slightly lighter  shade of the color you chose I chose-Barry M, Pink Filming. Leave it to dry.
Again you need to stick the reinforcements half way down your nail After you have done this you should paint your nails another lighter shade and I used more of a peachy shade again from Barry M, shade 'Melba'.

This is how you can acheive this look, i think its a great idea, I use the reinforcements for college work but i always have about 300 (you get about 500 in a pack for around 90p) left so its a good way to use them all up!

Barry M nail polish& nail polish tag

I absoloutly love Barry m nail polish and thought i'd share with you my favorites. most of the polishes from barry m that i have tried have been great although a few months ago i bought the colour 'Blue moon' and it was the thinnest nail polish i have ever used. you need to apply litrally around 4 layers of the polish before it is a solid colour. At first i thought i may of picked a dodgy one but after reading a few reviews on it i could see that was the formula of the polish, i have no idea why it's like that though.

anywho, these are my favorites, from the dark read the colors are: Raspberry, Pink Flamingo, Peach Melba, Indigo, Mint Green, Also another one of my favorites is Coral, its a lovely summery coral but totaly forgot about it :(

The wheels that i have painted the colours onto are off e-bay they where really cheap but come in handy a lot to do things like this. I got 10 for about £2.00 i think. click here to see wheels.

January favorites

Hey guys! This post is going to be about some of the items I have loved to use during the month of January. This month I have had a few new things added to my all time favorite items and I will be adding them into this post. Some of them are new and are the first time I have used them but I know they will not be changing for a long time because I absolutely love them.

My first favourite is Marc Jacobs- OH, LOLA! (50ml) Perfume, it is soso nice and I got it in a gift set with the body lotion and shower gel at Christmas and it was only £25!! It is absolutely gorgeous and if you haven’t smelt it I recommend you to go into boots and ask for a tester so you can because I don’t think you will resist. Also the bottle on this perfume is beautiful. http://www.boots.com/en/Marc-Jacobs-Oh-Lola-Eau-de-Parfum-50ml_1220319/
Next on my favourites is the No.7 Hot Clothe Cleanser, I have loved this in the month of January, cleansing over my face with that every morning and night leaves my skin feeling refreshed and it is so soft. But I’d just like to note, if you buy one make sure there is a muslin cloth inside because I bought mine and there was no muslin cloth. http://www.boots.com/en/No7-Radiance-Boosting-Hot-Cloth-Cleanser-200ml_953890/
Also in January I have been loving the Elf Wet Gloss, Lash And Brown Clear Mascara, Just running it over my brows every morning makes them look neater and like they are well groomed and its super duper cheap from the Elf website. http://www.eyeslipsface.co.uk/product~prodID~12.htm
One thing I have been using everyday is my Yankee Candle, mine is in the sent pink sands and it is sooooo night, every night when coming in from college I will be burning this, and it has hardly gone down. I got the medium jar but they are available in all sizes. http://www.yankee.co.uk/yankee-candles/3402/pink_sands_br_medium_jar.aspx
Every morning I will apply a few drops of VO5 Argon oil into the ends of my hair and it just works a miracle my hair feels so silky soft and just so nice! http://www.boots.com/en/Vo5-Miracle-Concentrate-Elixer-with-Argan-Oil-50ml_1228559/
This month I have also loved wearing the combination of Barry M Indigo and Barry M (Limited Addition) Silver glitter, they look really pretty and I love Barry M polishes because of the thick consistency and reasonable price. http://www.boots.com/en/Barry-M-Limited-Edition-Nail-Paint_1241455/
